You Are Invited To Have Peace And Joy

Many of us were lucky enough to be raised by loving parents, and can remember the trust we had in them when we were children. You knew your father would catch you when you jumped, and knew your mother would be there to wipe your tears. For those of us who weren't as blessed in the parenting department, we can envision what those relationships should have felt like.

That early relationship and trust is what you have when you know God. God has your back, He's watching out for you - always. And unlike your parents, He won't ever disappoint you. When things get tough it might not go as you expected, but you can trust that the creator of the universe is there to protect, comfort, and guide you. Like all parents, He wants you to set aside the worries of your everyday and enjoy the life He's created for you. So take each day as it comes, and seek the moments that bring you joy.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Psalm 46:1-3

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:9
